LEYLAND PD2/20 HIGHBRIDGE `Farington` body

In order to supplement the production of BMMO built double deckers 100 Leyland PD2/12s were delivered in 1952/3.

They were standard Leyland `Farington` bodies with a concealed radiator front end assembly built to Midland Red specification. The new front end eventually became the Leyland standard design for concealed radiator Titans through the fifties and into the sixties. Having concealed radiators they were officially PD2/20`s.

They were popular and powerful vehicles with the syncromesh gearbox being an improvement on the standard BMMO crash box.

Withdrawals started in 1965 which was a remarkably short life for Titans.
